Bird photos Online Library

The Friends of Oxley Creek Common (FOOCC) are establishing an online library
of bird photos taken at the Common, to showcase the abundant local birdlife
and to provide an identification aid to visiting bird enthusiasts.
In the first instance we want photos, taken at the Common, which immediately
identify each of the 210+ species found here. As the collection grows we plan to
create a searchable database that includes common and scientific name,
gender, juvenile and seasonal variations to provide the best possible
identification tool.
The best photographs of each species, as chosen by a committee, will be
included in the library. Contributors’ names and copyright will be recognised.
The committee will attempt to be inclusive, but their decision will be final.
It is envisaged the photo library will form part of a new FOOCC website in the
future. In the meantime FOOCC may share submissions on our Facebook page
to spread the word about this project and share the joy of beautiful birds!
Any photos not selected for inclusion will be deleted and not stored or used by
FOOCC. Email your bird photos from the Common to:
birds@friendsofoxleycreekcommon.org.au
Please send as JPEGs, preferably 3Mb and larger for optimal clarity. Include
your name and when the photo was taken.
Like our Facebook page for updates on the progress of the library and to see a
selection of photos submitted by others.
Tell your friends and happy snapping! 15 Feb, 2015
